Top Products:

After extensive research, we’ve produced a list of the top RAM compatible with Ryzen 7 2700X CPUs. We have the RAM you need to maximize your Ryzen system, ranging from best performers to excellent low-cost solutions.

Shopping Tips You Need To Consider

Whether buying RAM for general use or gaming, RAM should be suitable for the PC as there are many great other options, but they will not be the best for your processor’s model. Keeping in mind the specifications of Ryzen 2700x, look for the following features in RAM.

Memory speed

The Ryzen 7 2700x RAM speed means the speed at which the CPU can perform its function. As RAM plays an important part in determining the speed of your PC, a RAM offering a higher speed is preferred. For Ryzen 2700x, the suitable RAM speed is 2933 MHz as it is the maximum memory speed of the processor.

So, look for a RAM with that speed for efficient performance. If you buy a RAM with a higher speed than the maximum speed supported by the CPU, it will not work with your PC. Therefore, don’t always go for a higher memory speed.

RAM storage

Another important thing to consider is the memory capacity. Its capacity is measured in gigabytes (GB). Higher GB RAMs let the processor run more applications at a time. Therefore, reliable for both gaming and general computing.

Dual-channel RAM

For Ryzen 7 2700x, a dual-channel RAM is compatible. It’s because 2700x supports dual channels for communicating the data between the RAM and the hardware of the computer. There can be a higher number of channels for transferring the data, but as the RAM should be compatible with the processor, more than two channels will not work for the Ryzen 2700x.

Memory stick timings/latency

RAM stick timing or latency means the number of clock cycles a RAM takes to perform a task. The latency rate is dependent on the speed of the RAM and decreases with the increase in speed. So if you increase the speed rate or set the timings manually, both will impact each other. Mostly, the timing is measured as a series of numbers. RAM timing impacts the RAM’s speed but is not an important aspect to consider.

Compatibility with the motherboard

Even if the RAM that you chose offers a good speed and latency rate, make sure that it is compatible with the motherboard of your processor. It means that for Ryzen 7 2700x, you will have to check the specifications of the motherboard and choose a DDR4 RAM accordingly. Also, determine how many slots the motherboard have and what overclocked speeds for DDR4 it supports if you want to run it on overclocked speed.

CONS

A little heavy and big for some motherboards

Skill Trident Z offers a speed of 3000 MHz for stable performance. Being a DDR4, it is compatible with Ryzen 7 2700x, and I bought it for my gaming board. The 16 GB capacity made it reliable for heavy games as well as running multiple programs at a time.

It has XMP profile support which ensures overclocked speed and lets you run the PC without any freezing issues. Just like all other memory sticks, it was easy to install and started running efficiently at a reliable speed. With my processor and motherboard, I didn’t face any problem overclocking it. It even performs effectively without overclocking, and the timing lets it run smoothly.

Moreover, It’s a little heavy but doesn’t take up all the space in the motherboard. The sticks are good in quality and look nice with the LEDs. They are pleasing and not irritating like most of the RAMs usually have. They lit up the whole system and made it look amazing.

What I liked the most about the look was its color. Silver and black color is a great combination for any colored motherboard. Also, the stick material is very durable and well built. Also, despite the heavy weight, you won’t face any problem with the proper fitting of the sticks.

This RAM is better than many latest models out there as it can be installed with any other model RAM also having the same specifications. Most of the new models are not compatible for being used with any other model’s RAM sticks.

Overall, these are highly reliable for gamers, video and photo editors, and any other multitasking. These are worth the price you pay for them, and with my setup, I didn’t find any con to be mentioned specifically, even after months of use.

The software doesn’t work well

If you are looking for a RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x and a small sized motherboard, HyperX Fury will work the best for you. I bought the model that has a memory speed of 2666 MHz which is reliable for Ryzen 2700x. But you can buy the one with more speed if you are a professional gamer or need to edit videos and pictures with your PC.

Also, after trying the performance at 2666 MHz of speed, I can guess how well it will perform at a speed of 3200 MHz or 3600 MHz if it is compatible with your processor and motherboard. I needed a low profile RAM with 16 GB of capacity for my small sized motherboard, and I found this perfect RAM for it. Up to 2 years of usage, I haven’t faced any issue with the performance, and the RAM has proved to be a great deal for the price that it costs.

Also, from all the RAM I have ever bought, these come with the most effective and low profile heat spreaders. They are better than the ones that came with previous models and keep the temperature low for functioning efficiently.

From the various options of speed, the sticks with 2400 and 2666 MHz of speed run at the mentioned speed without any settings out of the box. Besides the speed, the timing is also perfectly fine and offers stable performance for Ryzen 2700x.

It was quite a simple task to mount these and start them running. Being low profile and light in weight, they fit well and do not take much space. So if you have a large cooler or other components in your motherboard, don’t worry about the space.

If you are going for the looks, this RAM has a pure black colour, and the decent design is nice to look at. However, being a non- RGB build, it is not as aesthetic as other RAMs. Considering the performance and build, it is worth the price.

A little expensive

The 3600 MHz speed of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro having memory type DDR4 ensures Ryzen 7 RAM compatibility and offers quality performance. On finding out its compatibility with my processor and motherboard, I bought this after research and have been using it at full speed for gaming purposes.

My gaming experience with this RAM has been great from the beginning to up till now, after using it for over a year. At 3200 MHz speed, I haven’t experienced any sort of desktop freezing, even while running heavy games or multitasking. Also, the 16 GB capacity allows you to run different programs at the same time and is highly sufficient for gaming as well as editing purposes.

Besides the performance, the RGB lighting from ten ultra-bright is fascinating, which you can easily control with the Corsair iCUE software. Also, the LEDs of both modules are addressable separately and can be fully customized just the way you like it. Not only was the lighting easy to customize but also installing the RAM and activating it was very easy. You can easily learn to install it from any tutorial if you are a beginner.

Make sure that the size of this RAM is suitable to fit in your motherboard without coming in the way of other components. However, the sticks are not that huge and will fit perfectly in compatible motherboards. If your motherboard supports the specifications of this RAM, then it is the best choice for you to get a RAM with satisfactory speed, looks, and size for your PC.

The consistency of the quality performance is ensured by the built in aluminum heat spreader that provides sufficient cooling to keep the RAM cool even while running at overclocked speed.

This is a solid quality built RAM that will last for a long time without compromising on the performance. You can for sure enjoy the smooth and stable performance till the very end at a reasonable price. Although you might find many other options at a cheaper price than this one, the quality that this RAM offers justifies its price.

Best Gaming RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x

SPECIFICATIONS

Brand: G.Skill | Capacity: 16 GB | Memory Type: DDR4 | Memory Speed: 3200MHz | Form Factor: DIMM | Weigh: 3.17 ounces | Volts: 1.35 Volts

PROS

True to the speed

Stable performance

The heatsink has a nice looking design

CONS

A little expensive

The size is large for some motherboards

Skill Flare X Series works amazing with my Ryzen 7 2700x. It runs at a stable speed and is true to the rated overclock speed. With 16 GB capacity, you can perform multiple tasks at a time with this RAM. Even while running heavy games, I never felt any kind of freezing issues. However, the stable performance of this RAM, like any other, does depend on the compatibility with the CPU and motherboard.

Also, at the highest speed, the latency rate was able to upkeep the performance. For my gaming, the timing was fine at 14-14-14-34. As it was running fine, I didn’t feel the need to change timings. For Ryzen models, this speed is able to support the required speed. I have been using this desktop memory for years, and it still offers great speed.

The RAM sticks are super easy to mount on the motherboard and do not require any additional settings. If you face any issue in mounting or overclocking it, read the manuals carefully or watch any tutorial for it. It is made of quality material, and the heatsink looks durable. Besides, It doesn’t heat up a lot and is able to run for hours with the same level of performance.

Although it is not that heavy, the size might not be suitable for many motherboard slots and might come in the way of other components as the design of the heatsink has added to its height a little. So before buying, always check the specifications of your board.

It is black in colour, and the amazing design looks great for any model of the motherboard. At this price, this is a reliable and well performing RAM and better than many other options available even if you are a gamer or editor with a Ryzen processor. However, if you are a pro gamer and looking for more speed, this RAM won’t be able to go above the rated overclock speed.

Corsair Vengeance RGB

Best RGB RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x

SPECIFICATIONS

Brand: Corsair | Capacity: 16 GB | Memory Type: DDR4 | Memory Speed: 3200MHz | Form Factor: DIMM | Weigh: 4.3 ounces | Volts: 1.35 Volts

PROS

Easy installation

Lasts for long

Stable performance

Looks cool with LEDs

CONS

It cannot be mixed with other sticks, even of the same model.

Corsair Vengeance RGB offers a stable performance even at the highest speed of 3200 MHz. I have had several RAMs before, but this one is able to provide the best memory for 2700x. It is a DDR4, thus compatible with the processor. Just make sure that it is also compatible with your motherboard. Otherwise, the desktop will keep getting stuck again and again.

I got the ones with 16 GB to get 32 GB in total, which proved to be sufficient for my usage. As a gamer, I have been using it at overclocked speed. However, it is not stable for speeds over 3200 MHz, even if you get the one with 3600 MHz. Maybe that’s because the 2700x doesn’t support speeds more than 3200 MHz. So not a con of the RAM sticks.

Both of the memory sticks fit on the motherboard perfectly and look great with the RGB lighting. Mounting and activating it was quite easy for a professional like me. However, at first, I was not able to turn on the lighting, then I figured out that you will need to keep the iCUE software running to keep them on and control them.

It is a well built RAM and looks durable. I haven’t noticed any performance issues after using it for many years. Although the price seems high as compared to other RAMs, it is justified by the stable working, LEDs, and durability of the sticks.

Also, even running on the highest speed of 3200 MHz for my Ryzen 2700x, I didn’t notice any heating issues. It runs at moderate temps for hours. Very satisfied with the purchase, as I am finally able to run games, videos, and google tabs at the same time with stability and speed.

One thing to remember while buying this kit is that you cannot mix the stick with any other, even of the same model and specifications. You will need to buy a new kit if this one doesn’t work.

CONS

Heatsinks are not built of good material

The RGB lighting is dim

XPG DDR4 D60G works effectively with a speed of 3000 MHz and lets you run games or perform other tasks at a stable speed. As mentioned in the description, this RAM supports Intel XMP 2.0 and can be overclocked to enough speed for Ryzen 7 2700x and is compatible with it.

However, It consumes fewer volts than the previous models and has a capacity of 16 GB, which is sufficient to let the desktop run smoothly without stuttering. The heat spreaders are efficient at their working and keep the sticks running without getting heated for hours. I have bought this kit for running heavy games and have been performing multiple tasks at a time with stable speed. Also, the latency rate 16-18-18 is low, which is perfect for good performance.

I bought two kits of 2×16 GB as I had sufficient space to install them on the motherboard. For Ryzen 2700x, the 64Gb RAM of this model was performing better than any of the RAM I have owned before this one. All the sticks fit perfectly and were easy to install on my gaming board. It started with a sufficient speed out of the box. And for heavy gaming, overclocking was very simple.

However, if you are not a heavy gamer and are looking for a RAM for general usage, the stock speed will be enough for you. If you also want more capacity, make sure your motherboard has enough space because 4 sticks will need some space; otherwise, they are not so heavy.

Besides the performance, the sticks feel nice and durable quality-wise as they are well built, but I personally didn’t like the plastic heatsinks. Also, they look stunning with their unique colour and design. They are going to look cool with almost all compatible motherboards.

Moreover, the RAM has an extended RGB surface that makes it fully customizable and adds to its looks, but the RGB might not sync with some models of motherboard. Overall, this RAM is one of the best RAM for Ryzen 7 2700x available at this price that is fairly decent. Also, this RAM will be reliable for your gaming even after years of use.

Brand: Patriot | Capacity: 16 GB | Memory Type: DDR4 | Memory Speed: ‎2.12 ounces | Form Factor: DIMM | Weigh: 3200MHz | Volts: 1.35 Volts

PROS

Efficient performance for gaming

Low latency

Reasonable price

Easy to install

CONS

A manual setting might be difficult for beginners

No RGB

From the series of Patriot Viper 4 Blackout, I bought the one with 3200 MHz memory speed and 16 GB total capacity for my Ryzen 7 2700x. Being compatible with my Ryzen and motherboard, it was able to provide the required speed and was stable even at the highest speed.

As a professional gamer, I needed enough speed to run heavy games without any stuttering on the desktop, and this memory offers the stable speed for that. But if you are not a pro gamer, your base speed of 2133 MHz will be sufficient. Besides, this RAM has a feature overclock, which allows automatic overclocking.

Also, the low latency timing at 16-18-18-36 is reliable for smooth running. You can tighten the timings even more for more efficient speed. Running on the high frequencies, the effective cooling of the radiator fan keeps the RAM cool enough to perform efficiently for hours.

The RAM, just like all other models, is easy to install and fits well in the compatible motherboard as it is not too tall. Also, the design is stunning with neutral black colour, and the material of the sticks is of fine solid quality. They are durable sticks and will last for a long.

Besides setting it up, overclocking the RAM is easy just by enabling the XMP and setting the speed, timing, and voltage. I mounted the sticks in the slots in a few minutes and tested the speed, and it was better than many previous RAM kits in terms of performance and durability.

While testing, I overclocked the speed up to 3400 MHz, but it was not stable at that speed. You will need to get the 3600 MHz model for more than that speed. So if you are a beginner and getting this kit, read the manual carefully for setting it up and installing the RAM. A great RAM that offers quality performance at a reasonable price.
